Kapil Mishra Son of Satish Mishra kicked by AAP members
NEW DELHI: Chaos
reigned in the Delhi Legislative Assembly as AAP lawmakers allegedly assaulted rebel party member Kapil MIshra and clashed with
members of the opposition on Wednesday.
The assembly, which had convened to discuss the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill, was disrupted when a group of AAP legislators collectively attacked Mishra after he raised a poster with allegations of corruption against AAP chief Arvinda Kejriwal. One of them even attempted to strangle him. Members of opposition parties intervened to rescue Mishra, resulting in a scuffle between the two groups.
Moments after the high drama in the House, Kapil Mishra was marshaled out on the direction of Speaker Ram Niwas Goel. Once outside, Mishra said he was attacked by AAP members who were enraged at his campaign against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and other party leaders.

"I was not given a chance to speak in the House, so I made a demand for a special session to be called at Ramlila Maidan. Suddenly, they (AAP legislators) rushed at me... they pushed me, pummeled me on the chest and some of them kicked me from behind," the aggrieved former minister told reporters.
"Kejriwal was laughing inside the Assembly.... I was beaten up on the directions of (deputy chief minister) Manish Sisodia," he alleged.
This isn't the first time the sacked minister has been at the receiving end of violence. Earlier this month, he was attacked by an alleged 'AAP supporter' at his residence while holding a hunger strike.
Mishra has leveled numerous allegations against the AAP top brass. He'd claimed to have witnessed Kejriwal accepting Rs 2 crore in cash from senior party leader Satyendar Jain, who had also allegedly settled a Rs 7.5 crore property deal for the Delhi chief minister's kin.
